Parkland ripercorre le vicende caotiche verificatesi a Dallas, in Texas, il 22 novembre del 1963, il giorno in cui fu assassinato il presidente John F. Kennedy. Incentrato sugli agenti dei servizi segreti, sui poliziotti locali, sulle infermiere e sui medici del Parkland Memorial Hospital dove il presidente ferito fu ricoverato, su Abraham Zapruder la cui cinepresa a 8mm riprese l’assassinio e sulla madre e sul fratello di Lee Harvey Oswald, il film intreccia insieme le prospettive di un gruppo di persone comuni catapultate all’improvviso in circostanze straordinarie.
